Overview

The Systems Analyst position provides end-user software and hardware systems automation, integration support and design through configuration, deployment and support of approximately 2000 clients.  The candidate will be a liaison between the Service Delivery team and other Information Technology groups such as Application Development and ERP.  The position will also require the candidate to communicate regularly with end users on software automation and deployment tasks as needed.  The candidate will be responsible for developing end user standards for technologies such as desktop and laptop hardware, mobile devices, printers, handhelds, and other end user technologies as needed. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Includes but not limited to):

  • Selects, develops, and implements Windows and Macintosh desktop technologies.
  • Responsible for researching, testing and analysis of new technologies and trends.
  • Determines desktop computing standards for the business.
  • Monitors and maintains software license agreements with a focus on compliance and cost savings.
  • Maintains knowledge of current and emerging technologies for end user computing.
  • Consults with end users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. 
  • Collaborates with technical teams to evaluate and test new desktop and application solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining operating systems and application version control.
  • Plans, tests, schedules, and coordinates software deployments to end users.
  • Ongoing performance tuning of desktop automation tools and processes.
  • Acts as level 2 and level 3 escalation for Help Desk, Desktop Support, and Plant IT teams.
  • Design and implement software packaging and deployment strategies for Windows and Macintosh Desktops.
  • Mentor and train other technical support staff on technical and procedural matters.
  • Responsible for support and maintenance of the Vasion document control system.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred, but not required.
  • Five or more years related experience required.
  • Experience with standard computer hardware, such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Experience with Linux based hardware such as Raspberry Pi Devices.
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as JAMF.
  • Experience with desktop operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, and Macintosh OSX.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with MES systems such as Mattec and Visual Factory.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on building customer rapport.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.

The hours for this position are 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
