Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the international accounting, financial reporting, legal, and tax compliance, coordinating with in-country third-party professional firms as required. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead international 3rd party firms in the preparation of VAT, income tax, and statutory financial statement filings by compiling data and/or workpapers, reviewing bridging (if required), and reviewing end-product results for reasonableness.
  • Develop Transfer Pricing reports and supporting documentation, staying current with OECD, BEPS while complying with country-by-country reporting requirements.
  • Thoroughly understand financial statements and trial balance, as well as the use of financial information to determine appropriate level of detail, accuracy and estimates when preparing, complying with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, preparing or approving journal entries as required.
  • Review and reconcile JDE accounts and intercompany balances and transactions as assigned.
  • Clear intercompany receivables and payables via cash payments as appropriate.
  • Analyze financial information as needed.
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records, and lead international outsourced providers, emphasizing performance, quality deliverables, and adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Process petty cash and debit/credit card transactions reviewing for proper approval and then coding, documenting, and inputting as required.
  • Develop and/or modify JDE World Writers as necessary, utilizing to extract JDE data for further analysis and/or processing.
  • Assist with IT system implementations and perform user acceptance testing with JDE E1 as requested.
  • Issue non-product, special invoices as required to customers and/or True affiliates.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, regulations.
  • Understands internal control concepts to recommend changes as needed.
  • Provide audit support as requested/required.
  • Lead projects as needed.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities i.e., classroom-based, web-based, hands-on, etc. or reading professional publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field required, preferably accounting.
  • Eight or more years of related experience required.
  • CPA and/or Chartered Global Management Accountant preferred.
  • Must be reliable, adaptable, detail and big picture perspectives, deadline oriented, problem solving, self-initiative, organization, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal/team, and analytical.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Business experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.
