Overview

The Human Resources Representative provides employee relations assistance and is the liaison between the factory and HR department. This position requires the ability to travel to all facilities as needed and involves being in a factory environment for up to 100% of the workday, talking with employees regarding company policies and benefits, and examining and resolving employee concerns and issues. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, and has excellent communication skills. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct new hire sessions during training period and anniversary updates.
  • Thoroughly and accurately explain company policies and benefits.
  • Act as liaison between the factory and HR office and relay employee concerns and suggestions to HR.
  • Work closely with others in HR to handle any benefits and payroll issues or questions.
  • Work with leadership to investigate and resolve employee concerns and issues.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment through enforcement of company safety rules.
  • Conduct interviews for open positions.
  • Conduct exit interviews on terminated team members.
  • Execute terminations and participate in the unemployment hearing as needed.
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement and provide solutions for improvement.
  • Other duties, projects, or training as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.
  • This position requires work to be performed on-site at our corporate office.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in HR, psychology, communications or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years related experience in either a Factory or Human Resources environment required.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required, as this position will require driving a company vehicle when visiting the satellite locations.
  • PHR, SHRM CP, or membership to related HR membership and/or publications preferred.

  • Ability to develop relationships and openly communicate with all team members.
  • Ability to discuss sensitive subjects, handle situations respectfully, and maintain full confidentiality.
  • Professional in demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and be able to work independently.
  • Strong observation skills, listening skills, and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in schedule and tasks for last minute changes.
  • Ability to participate in weekend on-call rotation.
