Overview

The IT Department is seeking a motivated Developer Co-Op who will be based out of the O’Fallon, MO office. This position will be part of an agile team working on a project backlog for ERP system, custom applications and reports.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including: Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review/Demo, Daily Stand Up and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Effectively communicate with Agile teams, IT Department, Business, and Management.
  • Complete self-paced training and guidance on using Microsoft development tools.
  • Development using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Create and design reports and labels.
  • Follow application development standards, complete technical documentation, unit test, and follow change control process.
  • Actively update assigned tickets and tasks in Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • This position will offer a work from home option of one day per week, with the other four days being based in office.

Qualifications

  • Full time college student, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems or similar field required.
  • Candidate must have completed at least 60 college credit hours.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office 365 applications.
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Microsoft SQL database and Access skills preferred.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services is a plus.
  • Experience with a Business Intelligence tool is a plus.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) coursework or experience is a plus.

The duration of this co-op is January to August, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
