Overview

The Demand Planner is responsible for establishing and maintaining the finished goods target stock levels at the factory and satellite warehouse levels. The ideal candidate for this role will leverage analytical skills to review customer, regional and model specific trends to provide collective forecast data usable for production planning. In addition, this role will analyze inventory needs and replenish satellite locations to fulfill stock requirements.  

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production planning with sales demand.
  • Analyze data to identify customer, regional and model specific trends.
  • Communicate and follow up on changes in demand with market contacts, management and all other needed departments.
  • Use market knowledge to develop forecast models that project collective future demand.
  • Notify and work with management on any overstock or out-of-stock concerns.
  • Create and maintain reports to monitor trends and performance
  • Submit production requests for low volume stocked models.
  • Analyze inventory demand to effectively replenish satellite warehouses.
  • Process transfer orders for satellite warehouse fulfillment.
  • Complete Cube-IQ loading diagrams and optimize space used for efficient shipping.
  • Assist Inventory Coordinators with allocation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred.
  • One or more years related experience required.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to merge data and create pivot tables.
  • Microsoft PowerBI skills preferred.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude; team player.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and resourcefulness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The hours for this position are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
